Okhane is a community of like-minded people dedicated to making your life better through sports, wellbeing and all the healthy goodness the world has to offer. The Okhane Foundation builds upon these principles to help individuals, teams, clubs and causes achieve their goals.
The Okhane Foundation is a ‘not-for-profit’ company limited by guarantee, investing profits made back into amateur sport.
So, what does this mean?
First and foremost, the Okhane Foundation is not a charity, although we welcome anyone that would like to fundraise or donate to help us achieve our aims - but we cannot claim back tax relief on any money gifted to the foundation. As a company limited by guarantee, the Okhane Foundation does not have any shareholders and therefor cannot issue dividends - so you can be safe in the knowledge that the profits we are making are going towards our goals, and not lining the pockets of the company owners. We believe this is very important for our business model.
How does the Okhane Foundation make it's profits to reinvest back into sport?
The Okhane Foundation was founded in January 2020, so we are still in the process of launching our offerings. We have lots of exciting projects coming all based around sport. We also receive a percentage of the revenue from activities in the Okhane world, and from our supporters Out-There UK Group. Keep an eye on www.okhane.com or our social media streams for further information.
What projects does the Okhane Foundation support?
As the Okhane Foundation is in it infancy, we are still in the process of creating our revenue streams. We are hoping to be able to support our first project towards the end on 2020. Keep an eye out on this site for more information, and if you have a project you think we can help you with, please get in touch.
